Day 09 – A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving

I don't even have to think about this one: Twilight.  My sister in law told me to read it.  I had my doubts, I'm not really a vampire type person, that is more Eric's thing.  I think it is quite amusing that people who like Twilight feel compelled to defend liking it - so I'm not going to.  I liked it, the end.

I liked Twilight too, but I knew I would. ;) The most recent one for me was The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. My MIL gave it to me & I put it off reading it forever. My all-time pick tho is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, given to me by my sister. The first 50 pages were so boring & dry, I almost gave up (which is something I never, ever do). After that, hooked. I read the whole dang series!

I'm going to have to start writing down the books in your comment, I haven't read many of them and I am always hesitant to try books that I don't know anything about so good recommendation is a plus.

I too have Twilight sitting on my shelf. I got it after a friend recommended it to me, but have yet to bring myself to read it. I'm just not sure about it. I guess if you ended up liking it, I will have to give it a go.

Suspend belief and accept that Bella is super whiney lol - also, Twilight is a fun read I think, but it gets better in 2 and 3.
