Looking for answers

There are some things I just don't understand.

For example, why do people care if that darn tree in the forest makes a sound?

How exactly will more government programs that we have to PAY for stimulate the economy?

How come my brand new computer keeps spazzing out when I'm using the interweb?

Isn't it uncomfortable to wear the same shirt and underwear for 4 days in a row? {ahem JOSH!}

Why do those hairs keep growing back?

How come those 3 stray gray hairs stand out like spotlights?

Does it really have to snow SO MUCH!?

How come I never have enough socks?

Anybody, anybody?

Some of us are jealous of the snow - shoveling it is fun! And you should know by now pepper ate the socks... What I really want to know is why with 100's of channels broadcast, there is nothing to watch? What was wrong with shows about families and making good choices - like telling the truth, loving others even though they are different, and telling jokes did not involve innuindo and foul language? Maybe it's better that way with so many other things to do!

interweb? you mean the web? or the internet? ha ha! what's the interweb?

And I don't know why people care if the tree makes a sound. They're not there to hear it anyway.

But just to set the record straight, although there are two sides to this argument, no, if there is no one there to hear it, it does not make a sound. Sounds are simply waves moving through the air that are not translated into what we call "sound" until those waves move upon our ear drums; and that movement is eventually changed into an electrical current and interpreted by the brain to be "sound." If there are no ear drums in "ear shot" of the tree, the tree makes no sound.
