Christmas Wish List - 2010

This year I've decided that I need 2 categories: Practical gifts and Super-Fantastic-Holy-Smokes-I-Need-That gifts (aka the YA RIGHT category).

Practical:

1. The Kindle - yes, I know, you get it already. But I haven't gotten it already! Dare I say it, my devotion is waning (the YA RIGHT category will illustrate why). You might be wondering why this gift is in the "Practical" category. Well, let me tell you. I think I can actually get a few of my school books on this baby. And check email (though I have to say it's not the smoothest operator on the net).

Santometer says: No chance, although your efforts to schmooze one from Amazon are to be admired. Save harder if you want to score this toy.

2.  A new fridge - hey, it's a wish list!  My brother and sister-in-law generously gave us a fridge when ours went the way of the dodo.  Sadly, it's about the size of a shoe box and freezes vegetables that don't fit in the drawers.  We're very happy to have it, seeing as how milk and such is much better when it's cold (and not rotten, to be sure) but I certainly wouldn't object to this little spot of heaven in my kitchen.

Santometer says: Get outta here!

3.  Sneaks - I typically buy cheap sneakers for running about town, and my (semi) cheap sneaks are really running on empty at this point.  Worn out.  I have been looking for a good pair of shoes that is going to last and will actually not hurt.  I'm thinking this direction:

Santometer says: Chances are slim, you already plan on making this purchase anyhow.

Super-Fantastic-Holy-Smokes-I-Need-That:

1.  Nook Color - Oh, Kindle, I feel like I am betraying you.  But, color!  And touch screen interfacing!  If not for the price, this little nifty would be on the Practical list.  ($249 if you're curious)

Santometer says: Are you kidding me, you actually think there's a chance?  I thought not.

2.  Sony Internet TV - It's a TV!  It's internet!  It's both!  Holy fantastic batman!

Santometer says: Wish harder!

3.  Ford F150 Fx4 - I'll admit, part of me just wants this because it would make Eric happy.  Over the moon happy.  He's been wanting a truck since - pretty much forever.  And now that we're country bumpkins, that desire has only increased.  Someday, someday.

Santometer says:  At least you dream big.

To satisfy realism, let me just make note that I'd be perfectly content with some chocolate.  And slippers.

Trucks are indeed totally AWESOME, I'd back that gift any day. I also can't believe that you of all people (Miss "clothing will never be given in my family as Christmas gifts") are asking for clothing for Christmas - OK perhaps shoes/slippers are not really clothing in Tee-Tutter world, but it still seems funny!

Shoes are definitely NOT clothes! You can give/get shoes anytime :)

Sony Internet TV? We did the coolest thing... my hubby, being the computer genius/nerd that he is, hooked up our computer to our flatscreen. Now it can do either TV or internet/computer stuff! It rocks! And it's probably a lot cheaper... ;)

I seriously want a truck.

We can surf the internet on the TV with our Wii, but it doesn't look very good and it doesn't click right etc. Perhaps a direct link would work? I don't know, but I'm a fan of not figuring things out myself! :)
